When I’m deciding between big job choices (like whether to stay at my current role or take a new one), it feels like my whole career hangs in the balance.
Very true, thanks for sharing. I personally have gone through searching for a new job and thinking what I want recently. Do I want to stay a manager? Do I want to go back to being an IC? Do I wanna stay in one field or another within product management?
So I do feel like a lot of it also comes down to the options at hand at the time and making the best decision of what you have and also going a lot with the gut feeling. Don’t compromise but feel the playing field too.
I feel also one of the things that really helps me decide is similar to what you said, when I wake up in the morning, and I'm at that job. I ask myself how do I feel about it? Do I feel good telling other people that I work there? Am I happy about this? Am I proud of it? Or am I not?
